We’ve had a wonderful first day of school!
The energy and excitement from our students have made for a great start to the new school year. As we wrap up today, please be aware that we expect afternoon bus drop-offs to be delayed as we ensure all students are safely accounted for and adjust to their new routines.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as our bus drivers work hard to get everyone home safely. If your child's bus is running late, rest assured they are in good hands, and we are doing our best to minimize delays.
Thank you for your support in making today a success! We’re excited for a fantastic school year ahead!

We would love to see your first-day smiles! Families are invited to send their first-day photos to spruell.nicolem@desoto.k12.mo.us for a chance to be featured on the De Soto #73 Facebook page.

We appreciate you and everything you do for our district!

PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH OUR BUSES
During the first few days of school, buses may run later than their normal schedules as drivers learn new routes, students become familiar with their stops, and schools ensure every student boards the correct bus and arrives safely.
Please check Infinite Campus for your student’s updated bus route and scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Several route changes have been made as new students continue to enroll.
Families can help by:
Having students at their bus stop early
Allowing extra time for pick-up and drop-off
Making sure students know their bus number
Keeping contact and transportation information current
Contacting the Transportation Department with questions or concerns
Routes typically become more consistent as everyone settles into the new routine. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to transport every student safely!
