All buses have now left the Middle and High School following the conclusion of our third day of school. Students who ride the bus are currently on their way home.

Arrival times will vary by route and may be later than the times listed in Infinite Campus. During the first week, loading and routes may take longer as students learn their assigned buses and stops and drivers become familiar with new routes.

This information was also sent to all secondary families via text message and email.

Thank you for your patience as we work to transport every student home safely. It has been a great first week of school! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday!

EVERY FRIDAY IS HAT DAY AT DHS!

Students can wear a hat every Friday throughout the school year for just $1.00! All proceeds will support the Junior Class as they raise money for the 2027 Junior/Senior Prom.

To participate, students must check in with Mrs. Reese or Mr. Trentman each Friday at either the gym entrance or main entrance, pay their $1.00, and receive a stamp showing they are eligible to wear a hat.

Wear your favorite hat, support the Junior Class, and help make the 2027 Prom a success!

New Visitor Management System

The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, all district buildings will use a visitor management system to help create a safer, more secure environment.

When visiting a school or picking up a student, please:
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID
Report to the main office upon arrival
Wear your visitor badge while on campus
Check out before leaving

Only individuals authorized by the school may check out a student, and additional verification may be required. Please ensure all approved contacts and contact information are current in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our schools safe! If you have questions, please contact your student’s building office directly.

We’re proud to share that Mrs. Hodak has been awarded a grant from the Missouri State Teachers Foundation!

This grant will support a meaningful snack program. When students’ needs are met, they are more likely to build confidence, form positive relationships, and fully engage in their learning. Something as simple as a snack can make a lasting difference—and help ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Thank you to the Missouri State Teachers Foundation for supporting our students, and thank you, Mrs. Hodak, for your dedication!

Today we had the opportunity to celebrate our talented students with a State Sendoff for Solo & Ensemble Band and Choir as they prepare for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) State competition!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, hard work, and passion these students have shown to reach this level. Representing our district on the state stage is a tremendous accomplishment.

Good luck at State—we are cheering you on every step of the way!

Annual Student Information Renewal is Now Open

Each spring, all families are asked to complete the Annual Student Information Renewal (Registration) in Infinite Campus to help us prepare for the 2026–2027 school year. Even though this information is for next school year, it must be completed now so we can accurately plan schedules, transportation, staffing, and student services.

Deadline: May 1
We strongly encourage families to complete this as soon as possible.

Why this matters?
Your timely completion helps the district:
• Build accurate class schedules for 2026–2027
• Create bus routes and transportation plans
• Keep health and emergency information current
• Ensure you continue receiving important school messages

If not completed by May 1, families may experience:
• Delays in receiving student schedules
• Delays or changes in bus assignments
• Temporary loss of access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal
• Suspension of student Google accounts at the end of the 2025–2026 school year (until completed)

How to complete your renewal:
- Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal
- Select “More” from the menu
- Click “Annual Student Information Renewal”
- Review, update, and submit your student’s information

If you need help logging in or have questions, please contact your student’s building office — they’re happy to help.

Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a smooth and successful start to the 2026–2027 school year for every student!
